SUMMARY OF TALK

Koreans in 1205 BC called their country Chosen which means Morning Calm.  The people are similar looking to Chinese and Japanese.  Seoul is the capital of South Korea and they consider their city as the sixth largest in the world.  The speakers wore beautiful traditional dress.  In Seoul, female servants in government offices were given thirty days of leave after the birth of a child and the husband thirty days of paternity leave.  The rights of prisoners were also considered, inquiring about the temperature of cells and whether they were clean.  Wildly considered the greatest legacy of King Sejong the Great, he invented the Korean alphabet called Hangulo.  Created in 1443 by the King, it consists of 28 consonant and vowel letters corresponding to the principal of Ying-Yang.
