ROTARIANS PRESENT AND HAPPY THOUGHTS: 17 Rotarians present. Zen, last appearance at Rotary Meetings, so he shook hands with each of those present;  Plus other happy thoughts not completely recorded.

SPEAKERS AND SUBJECT:  Mortgage Update II via Scott Lanoff.

                                                         SUMMARY OF TALK
Scott delivered a very abbreviated “Mortgage Update 2.0 talk
He discusses a perspective self-employed purchaser scenario where regardless of a purchaser’s excellent credit and unlimited down-payment has difficulty with a mortgage approval if they are unable to substantiate sufficient income history.
Then Scott discussed a refinance scenario where a perspective applicant that has an Interest-Only Mortgage – where the interest only period is about to expire and their monthly payment goes up precipitously . Example of a $400,000 mortgage increasing by $1,100 per month.

                                                         SUMMARY OF TALK
Sean has been working at Sing Sing prison for 7 and 1/2 years. Displayed by guest Edmar Florez were the early wardens of Sing Sing and their accomplishments. Sean carries a baton but no gun to protect himself from the inmates. He had story about movie "20,000 Years at Sing Sing" featuring Spencer Tracy and Betty Davis. His success on the job is to follow his advice; go to school and better yourself, and he ended with the "right mind set."  Prisoners earn 14 cents per hour and use money to buy goodies at prison store.

GUESTS: Jenny Doame, a Rotarian from Baldwinsville, NY.

 SPEAKERS AND SUBJECT:  Dean Dyckman conducted the Rotary Club Auction.

We made $493 and Eric rounded it up to $500. Then Mark Seiden contributed a matching $500. Then one of he Rotarians spent $5 for an offered item for a total of $1005.  Then Eric, who had two Paul Harris pins, gave one to Dean.
