1953 – Julius Rosenberg, 38 and his wife Ethel, 37, convicted of conspiring to pass U.S. atomic secrets to the Soviet Union, were executed at Sing Sing prison in Ossining.

GUESTS – From India, the youngest Rotary exchange student, age 16, Vibhuti Desai, invited by the Valhalla Club.  She proudly wore multiple pins that covered her shirt.  She will be attending MIT next year.  Bishop John’s grandson Colin Albach and Wife Dr. Z Albach.

SUMMARY OF TALK

Chinese are reviving their culture from the Soviet era with a dance program called  Shen Yun.  Chinese music and dance is performing at Carnegie Hall on October 5th and April 20 – 28 at Lincoln center.  Their performance is described as elegant, very athletic and very skilled. This mesmerizing performance, which was shown on video, has reclaimed the divinely inspired cultural heritage of China.
