ROTARIANS PRESENT AND HAPPY THOUGHTS: 16 Rotarians present so our club membership ratified the current club By-laws and Constitution. Dr. Bob Maher ($5) second to fourth year as club treasurer; Anne is happy to be member of Ethical Culture; Eric ($10) is happy that the By-laws and Constitution Adopted by club and the committee that worked on them; Peter that he is invited to speak; Jim, that the national organization of the BSA ended year with a profit;  Paul  is the Secretary of Masons  and will be going to Florida and Canada for meetings. Other happy thoughts not correctly recorded.
            
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Wednesday not Friday meeting.  Ernie, please each Rotarian pays for five cartons of grapefruits. He wants 100 per Rotarian whether or not they sell grapefruits. Anne still has extra Lottery tickets for Elderact at Atria. We will have a social at Captain Lawrence in Elmsford on April 20, we pay at door and tip bartenders for beer and wine, all we can drink.

SUMMARY OF TALK
Peter spoke about current brain research findings with MRI physics and brain science.  Peter described where our consciousness, ego , and emotional center is located  and how these structures effect our lives from decision making to communication inter and impersonally. Peter also discussed how the effects of brain waves worked and the application of controlling ones brain waves to increase concentration, and memory during meditation experiments . With the Rotary he discussed the applications of this information pertinent to learning, long term memory, increasing test scores in students, and adult sleep improvement.  

This Wednesday ( NOT FRIDAY)  at the Holiday Inn in Mount Kisco for joint meeting with Mt. Kisco and Pleasantville Rotary clubs.
