SUMMARY OF TALK
A buyer has to have title insurance in order to protect against some past weakness in the title to property buyer is buying. Continuing education is part of the real estate law. Cost of title insurance is dependent on cost of property, prior ownership, deeds and covenants. Fraud is rampant, especially if property one is buying is owned by a divorced couple. A number of horror stories were told.
