                                                                SUMMARY OF TALK
BAILIE JONES IS A BRIGHT WELL-SPOKEN JUNIOR AT BRONXVILLE HS. HE SPENT TWO WEEKS LAST SUMMER AT A GIRL'S CATHOLIC SCHOOL IN TANZANIA. THESE GIRLS ARE ORPHANS, POOR, SOME OF WHOM WERE LIVING ON THE STREETS. HE DID MUSCULAR WORK LIKE MOVING ROCKS AND PUMPING WATER. HE TUTORED THE GIRLS IN READING AND SCIENCE. HE TRIED TO DO FUN THINGS LIKE SOCCER. THIS SCHOOL IS NEAR THE SECOND LARGEST LAKE IN THE WORLD. THEY DRINK ITS WATER AFTER PURIFICATION. HE IS PROUD THAT HE COULD VOLUNTEER TO TEACH SUCH A NEEDY GROUP. IT WAS A LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE AND HE PLANS TO RETURN NEXT SUMMER.

FRIDAY, AT LUNCH, ELDERACT AT ATRIA  BY PEARL BLAUSTEIN, PRES.
