                                                                                         Summary of Talk

The speaker was informed and entertaining. After age 50 men's prostates enlarge and can constrain urine elimination. Most common treatment is to watch and wait. With man's life expectancy now over 85 more prostate problems. But in the years before, infections often occurred and treated by antibiotics. He discussed Angelina Jolie's breast cancer removal. The breast cancer gene is linked to the prostate cancer gene. Robotic surgery not necessarily better but more expensive. The PSA (prostate agent) is a measure of prostate activity but not necessarily indicative. Men have to understand their bodies and know when to talk to an urologist. The bottom line: new is not necessarily better.

Friday – NO MEETING in view of earlier Wednesday meeting at Mr. Kisco Rotary re Banglador Rotarians.
