SUMMARY OF TALK
Our club always is pleased to welcome Sandy Galef , whom we know well, to join us. Sandy carefully watches Governor Cuomo, whom she especially admires and follows his goals. The state has a huge deficit of 2.5 billion. Work programs prevent unfair gas pricing based on geographical locations. State aid to public school districts, libraries, BOCES and Community College was passed. Before we allow any hydrofracturing for natural gas, the assembly passed a bill that called for a health assessment of environmental hazards. The Tappan Zee Bridge was built in war time with steel that was not top quality. Consolidation of the Ossining town and village court will lend to better organization.
Friday – Roger Risko on Rotary Seniors. He is all set and prepared to provide Rotary members a very concise, informative and interesting presentation about the history of current activities, and the future of "Elderact" as a sponsored activity and eventually a new level of Rotary Service worldwide. Roger Risko, District Adviser for Elderact, Radio Rotary, Interact and Rotaract
