Anne: Grandchild in medical school and others not in jail. Also, every other Monday Elderact at Atria meets at 3:30. 
Antonio: Is happy Etrusca is happy.
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Via Rachel, school starts Thursday. Club accepted Jim’s resignation and made Scott new president. So we need a new director. Kris nominated by Anne. Treasurer, we have about $15,700 to spend. Paul Rosen may return as member. 
 
SPEAKER:  School Superintendent Jim Kaishian.  He was raised in Ct. where he went to elementary and then high school. He got a B.A. and MS.  in English at Fordham Univ. And is just shy of his dissertation (on Student Motivation) for his doctorate at the same University.


                                                        SUMMARY OF TALK
All graduates of High School going on to college, including Cornell (for whom Elinor used to interview). He is doing a good job. Also, students are entrepreneurs re start-up companies. We are maintaining our identity and among top schools in country. (We (club) hope he will join us as a member.) The State and Federal Government pays for pre-kindergarten disabled students. But District pays for K-12 classes. We have something for everybody.
