Village of Briarcliff Manor Honors Rotarian Ernie Pacchiana - May 7, 2010
On 3/17, I received an email from Past President Eric Lebenson to All Rotarians of the Rotary Club of Briarcliff Manor …
Subject: Ernie Pacchiana Day - May 7th
Hello, all -
I am writing to let you know that on May 7th, it is going to be "Ernie Pacchiana Day" at the Law Park Pavilion (the building above the pool, in front of the library). Another friend of Ernie's many of you know, Lou Wachtel, put this great plan in motion to honor a man who has done so much for Briarcliff Manor. You may know that in addition to being a Founding Member of our Rotary Club, Ernie has been an integral part of the popularity of tennis, platform tennis and other sports in Briarcliff; as such, the platform tennis courts will be named after him, along with other promised surprises, entertainment and guests.
The festivities will start at 7:00, and there will be cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, etc. FYI, this is not a surprise; we had to make sure he would be in town so we weren't celebrating without him! But, the less we talk about it, the more Ernie will be surprised at the turnout that I am quite certain will be tremendous.
You will be getting a "formal" invitation by e-mail soon, but I wanted to let you know to save the date.
Warmest Regards,
Eric
And I took some snap shots on May 7, 2010 at the party ...
